Green Lake Litter Patrol is a volunteer-based community service organization founded by G. Todd Young who is a Managing Broker at Green Lake Windermere. Volunteers walk Green Lake Park every week to pick up as much litter as possible in 2- 3 hours. So far more than 8300 volunteer service hours have made for a much cleaner, healthier park.
Green Lake Litter Patrol has a wide-range of volunteers, from pre-schoolers and their parents to Senior Citizens who are community service-oriented. There are also many elementary, high school & college students that require community service as part of their educational requirements. Some local companies also participate as a “team building” exercise but everyone leaves with a sense of accomplishment and new friends they make along the way.
